The AllerAir 5000 Sentinel Chemical and Germicidal air purifier has been designed to deliver more stringent filtration results than air filters purchased for normal residential usage (allergies, pet odors, etc.).
This unit contains a true HEPA filter for collection of particulates. The Sentinel uses 18 lbs of carbon which has been specially blended to absorb military-type chemicals. The J-Bulb UV light used in this unit to fight biological contamination (viruses, bacteria, mold) is almost twice as strong as the bulbs usually used in residential air filtration units. In addition to these components, the Sentinel utilizes laboratory seals so that no unfiltered contaminated air escapes from gaskets and passes through the unit.
